Charlotte Sports Groups' Top 10

1 Butler (11-0)... On crash course to meet Independence again in two weeks, little stands in the Bulldogs way.
2 Independence (11-1)... want another shot at Butler, must first take care of Mallard Creek this week.
3 Mallard Creek (9-1)... Mavericks wanted Independence again bad, now they get their chance.
4 Charlotte Latin (10-1)...third straight year they've played Christian for state title.
5 Charlotte Christian (9-2)...going for back-to-back state titles, must beat Latin for second time this year.
6 Providence (8-4)... winning at Richmond, Sr. won't be easy, but Panthers have talent to do it.
7 Olympic (10-2)... Trojans lost QB Lucas Beatty for season, but RB Mike Huff will try to carry Trojans on his back.
8 A.L. Brown (10-2)... Wonders recovered from Concord loss, now look toward state title run.
9 First Assembly (12-0)... only defending state champion Harrells Christian stands in the way of a perfect season, state title.
10 Charlotte Country Day (10-2)... a last second missed field goal in regulation away from playing Christian for a state title.
