Jalen Ross plays his best in the biggest moments. Ross saved one of his best games for last, scoring two touchdowns in Hawks' 31-10 win over Charlotte Christian to claim the NCISAA state championship.
 
Ross broke the game open with 48-yard touchdown run in the third quarter against the Knights and added another 17-yard touchdown run later, finishing with 99 yards on 24 carries for the game.
 
Ross, who averages nine yards per carry this season, had 1,376 yards rushing and 24 touchdowns this season.
 
Ross also had three touchdowns in the Hawks 31-24 overtime win over Charlotte Country Day the previous week in the state semifinals.
